Cradles to Crayons Appearance!

(Top Pic)A Fellow Volunteer and Me ...(Bottom Pic) The Cradles to Crayons Staff + Me

Saturday, Feb. 25th a group of about 20 people accompanied me to the Cradles to Crayons facility to help volunteer in their "Toy Section". We were educated on the process and inner operational happenings in the building. We learned that it takes $25 to send out ONE care package to a child, in the package would be daily necesities. Such as: Boots, cloths, toys, shoes, books, etc. My team was able to clean, fix, and pack 160 toys in 3 hours! YES! I really enjoyed myself and I would love to visit again!

Vintage-y OOTD

Currently craving and obsessed! with vintage coats.. the weather is mild and it's that time of year where summer gradually pushes away all remnants of winter. Taking away all evidence of whatever winter we had. So in the mean while I am experimenting with Vintage-y looks.. Hahaha did I achieve the look? This is probably a more modern version..
Also quick update I am going to start on Make-up Reviews. All the previous reviews I have completed are for clothing.. I believe it is time that I ADVANCE to Make-up :) To get started I am currently researching and looking for make-up companies to support and advertise for... Hopefully the first review will be out by March!

UPDATED 10/1/2012
When I first published this post, I was not aware of the young music artist right in my backyard. I am so jealous of their amazing talent because, trust me my shower singing isn't even that great.

Young Artist Review #1 : Laquandra Seymore

Facebook Page:

I have seen Laquandra perform numerous times and I am blown away every time. I feel like I am watching her grow this year. From January at my pageant, where we first met, to now. Our mom's have become friends and it's always great to see her at one of my appearances. Laquandra has been performing in the New England music scene since age 11 and I am excited to see her go to greater heights. Good Luck Girl! By the way, definitely check out her Facebook page for events, contact info, and to get a sneak peek at some of the fabulous outfits she rocks for her performances.

Young Artist Review #2: Phenom

Facebook Page:

Ok, so I am not sure whether or not it's like a crime to reveal a rappers real name when he is known for his stage name. I guess we'll let that rule slide this time. Phenom, Manno LaGuerre, is an up and coming young Boston artist. I go to school with this kid and the very first memory I have of him was, him rapping at New Student Orientation. It wasn't even the first day of school and this kid made a name for himself. I don't know alot about rappers, like their names or life backgrounds and what not.. but I like this music. I insist you check it out. Just go on his Facebook ( and you'll see the link to hear and purchase/download his music. Let me know what you think!

Semi-Formal School Dance

Hey guys sorry for the long pause of absence, but recently I attended my schools Semi-Formal. Our first school dance of the year, my school sucks because there are only 2 dances total. Haha anyway being that this was the first dance, of course everyone looked awesome, hot, sexy, adorable, and just plain out great! My mind set before getting to the dance was to have a fun time! Dance. Laugh. Play. Socialize. Poise. Smile! I achieved every single one of those. The theme was Casinos, so there were like poker games and stuff out. I don't play poker so I didn't know how to play, but fortunately I had a cool friend who like talked me through the game. (Between us, He was sooo cocky, believing that he could win the game... BUT we will never know because the game never ended due to the DJ playing a slow song). Here is the outfit I wore:
Necklace: Macy's Samara $100
Shirt: Old Navy $15
Shorts: Old Navy $15
Shoes: Famous Footwear $30
Beauty: ALL ME!

LMAO so yeah I got my hair and nails done, then I was off to the hotel. The dance lasted for about a good 4-5 hours. Overall I realllllyyy enjoyed myself, a night I will never forget ! ;) and I have my friends to thank for.

Did you know about my V-DAY??

Valentine’s Day facts that everyone knows...
1. February is the month recognized as the month of LOVE & ROMANCE
2. People send love one’s “valentines”
3. CHOCOLATE! = The official candy of Valentine’s Day, due to the huge amounts of chocolate brought for Valentine’s Day.
… But do we really know the origin of Valentine’s Day? The truth of the matter is that NO ONE knows the exact history of this popular holiday. Before you start sending me emails filled with unloving words… let me finish. There are many legends that all stem back to this guy most of us know as: Saint Valentine. These tales are famously connected with Christian and Ancient Roman tradition. Here are a few legends that have been passed down and around the world. We are not sure where, how, and why this “valentine” thing all begin, so the following is my researched hypothesis.
LEGEND #1 Valentine was a priest that secretly performed marriages for young soldiers. This was done because, Roman Emperor Claudius the Second believed that single men made better soldiers, than those with loved ones (friends & family). Claudius outlawed marriages for young men. Saint Valentine defied this law and continued to advocate for LOVE & ROMANCE amongst young soldiers.
LEGEND #2 Saint Valentine sent the first valentine while in prison, before his death. Apparently the jailer’s daughter would visit Valentine during the night. Stories about this affair showcase Valentine as a sympathetic, heroic, and ROMANTIC figure. Before being sentenced to his death, St. Valentine wrote the jailer’s daughter a note and signed it as “From your Valentine.” Which is probably why some of us do that today. As a sign of LOVE!
